Nomination for Pride of Reading Awards

We are proud to announce that Peak XV Fitness have been nominated for the Business Environment Award at this year’s Pride of Reading Awards. The annual event is one of the Premier events in the Reading calendar and has been taking place for the last twelve years.

According to getreading.co.uk “The Business Environment Award is for a local business that has developed an innovative idea to promote excellent environmental understanding among their staff and/or community, which has had an overall environmental positive impact.” The Business Environment Award is sponsored by Barton Willmore who are a firm of architects with offices all across the UK.

One of our members, Amanda McDonell of Caversham, nominated us for the award. Amanda has been a regular member of our boot camp for over 2 years and kindly put us forward for the award. If we get shortlisted, then we can attend the awards evening at the Madejski Stadium in November. The annual awards ceremony is hosted by TV’s Chris Tarrant who is a local resident. We’re all very excited to find out if we’ve been shortlisted and whether we’ll need to attend in November. We are proud to say that we’ve helped over 500 local residents get and healthy in our time at boot camp in Caversham. With our mixture of resistance training, boxing, running and stretching drills we’ve regularly put 8-12 people through their paces each session. Winning this award would mean a lot to the team at Peak XV Fitness as well as our regular members. We will wait to see if our nomination brings us a short list place ahead of the Awards Ceremony on Friday 3rd November.

If you’re interested in seeing what all the fuss is about and why we’ve been nominated for a prestigious local award come along and try our sessions out for free for one week. In this time you’ll get to meet the instructors and the members and you’ll get to try some of our workouts also. Call us today or fill in the contact form above.
